Use of Debt is not a Focus in Creating Returns
Our philosophy is to increase the value of businesses mainly through revenue and profit growth, operational improvements and strategic mergers and acquisitions. We have historically used debt conservatively and believe this is a key factor in successfully managing the risks of growth.
Leverage the Resources of the Investec Group
Investec Group has expertise in investment banking, capital markets, private client activities, asset management and property activities. Investec Wentworth Private Equity is a wholly owned subsidiary of Investec Bank (Australia) Limited, which is part of the global Investec Group. To avoid any conflicts of interests, our portfolio companies do not borrow from Investec's banking division. Further, we are able to leverage the broad network of the Investec Group in terms of deal sourcing, execution and specialist expertise. We do also retain other advisory firms.
